Ruth began her career in education teaching Business Studies. As a result of her education business links work being recognized by Land Rover, she was appointed to manage the Education Partnership Centre at their Solihull site. 


Less than two years later Ruth is a manager in the Young People Development team with responsibility for the apprenticeship and graduate programmes.


A re-organization of the company provided Ruth with the opportunity to move into the adult education training and development team and over a period of 5 years she gained significant knowledge and experience in the design and delivery of training and development solutions at all levels of the company. 


The most significant period of Ruth’s time in business followed Ruth taking on the role and responsibility to develop and implement the company’s corporate social responsibility strategy.  This provided Ruth with the opportunity to introduce a different aspect of professional development into the company through community work.  Local and national recognition for this work followed when over 10,000 employees were given the opportunity to participate in projects to support the community through individual and team development activities.
